A total of five-thousand audience memebers have viewed notable film ‘Eshnougel’ (Snorkel) in Iranian county of Shahreza.
The figure was reached during 20 days of screenings dedicated to the flick directed by Hadi Hajatmand and Ali Soleymani-Saransari, a local media report said Monday.
Located in Iranian province of Isfahan, Shahreza hosted the screening sessions of the film themed on the Holy Defense and Iraq-Iran war.
The Sacred Defense is the eight-year war which Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein waged against Iran back in the 80s.
‘Eshnougel’ (Snorkel) is inspired by the true story of the Iranian scuba divers, who go missing while working on a mission to dig a tunnel during the war years.
“One or two years ago, we negotiated with Mr. Hajatmand and Mr. Soleymani about a proposition on the divers martyred in the Sacred Defense,” Asghari said to ifilm, adding, “One was working on the issue of the divers martyred in Iraq-Iran war, because I think they were the most oppressed and vulnerable ones.”
Borzou Arjmand and Mahchehreh Khalili star in the flick.
